“Jodi thakto dana” by singer Sovvota was set to release in December, this year. But in a surprise announcement she has revealed that a full album will be released instead. That too in this week!
Sovvota has decided to make “Jodi thakto dana” the title track of the album, and it is going to be her debut solo album. The album will contain 7 tracks, 6 of which have been written and composed by Sovvota.
Sovvota presented a second surprise by revealing that the album will feature songs by three seminal Bengali poets. These songs are: “Dhono dhannye pushpey bhora” by Dijendralal Ray, Tagore's “Anandalokey,” and Kazi Nazrul Islam's “Dao shorjo.” The songs have been arranged by Shahrin Shahriar, Samiul Wahid, and Aliftar Sarkar Raj.
The album will be accompanied by a video. The music video of the song 'Ekhaney poth amar' has been directed by Rashed Zaman. Sovvota says the video has the real surprise. The video will show familiar yet strange things from Dhaka city.
