The first merit list for college admissions for 2015-16 education year will be published on Sunday, Education Secretary Nazrul Islam Khan has expressed hope.
He made the statement while talking to reporters on Saturday, private television channels reported.
The deadline for enrolment into colleges will also be extended, said the education secretary.
The results were scheduled to be published on Thursday night. Later, the website of Education Ministry said the result would be delayed by 24 hours due to “unavoidable circumstances.”
However, while visiting the official website of the Education Ministry, www.xiclassadmission.gov.bd, after Friday midnight many aspirants failed to get their results.
Upon receiving the information from the aspirants, the Dhaka Tribune tried several times since 8am Saturday to reach the results, but it was not available until 11am.
An Education Ministry message posted on the site says: “All the aspirants and persons concerned are being informed that the result publishing process is underway, the time of releasing the results will be announced in a short time.”
