The CNG stations will remain open for 24 hours from July 10 to19 in order to facilitate the communication ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Obaidul Qader announced the decision in the inter-ministerial meeting held in BIAM Auditorium in the capital on Tuesday afternoon.
To control the traffic congestion in Dhaka, a task force would be deployed on the city streets, the minister said.
Vigilance teams will work on the highways across the country for the same purpose.
The minister said the teams will work to stop the expired licenses and faulty vehicles to ply on the roads during this time.
He also added three days each before and after the Eid-ul-Fitr the trucks, covered vans and lorries will not be allowed to operate on the highways, excepting those carrying the emergency necessities, the minister said.
