Moushumi to play for Maya

Moushumi is set to play the lead in Maya, a film is scheduled to go on the floor at the end of July. Directed by Ashutosh Sujon, the film has been awarded with financial, technical and logistic support by the Bengal Cinema Development Forum, an initiative of Bengal Foundation to promote aspirant filmmakers. 

Although no written agreement has been made regarding her role, a source close to the production house revealed that the National Film Award winning actress has already talked about her role and she confirmed that she will be starring in the film. 

The film depicts the immaterial part of people’s interpersonal relationships and expresses how the lack of materiliasm is a notion that is slowly decaying. 

The director, who previously made his impression working for small screen cinema, worked as the assistant director to Mostafa Sarwar Farooqi’s Mad_e In Bangladesh and Bachelor. He stated, “I chose an inclusive story which represents a vital part in people’s relations, hoping that the audience will love it.”

As the film is set to be his directorial debut, Ashutosh further stated that the audience are going to experience a lot of new exciting elements.
