Joint Commissioner of Detective Branch of Police Monirul Islam has said police have traced the location of the accused involved with the gang-rape of a female police constable in the capital.
He made the statement while talking to the journalists at the DMP head quarters in the capital on Wednesday morning.
He said: “We have traced the location of the accused, they will soon be arrested.”
Earlier, the medical examination of the female police constable suggested that the constable was gang-raped.
The female constable of Turag police was gang-raped by her ex-husband SI Kalimur Rahman of the Special Security and Protection Battalion and his associates in Khilgaon on June 10.
Later, the victim was admitted to the One-stop Crisis Centre on June 13.
