Intern doctors of Chittagong Medical College Hospital have taken to the street, protesting the misbehaviour of a patient’s attendant with a female intern doctor.
They are abstaining from work from Tuesday morning and demanding the punishment of those responsible.
The intern doctors also formed a human chain outside of the medical college at around 11:30am.
Dipak Jyoti Khisa, assistant commissioner of Panchlaish circle, told the Dhaka Tribune: “We have learnt about the protest and are trying to bring the situation under control.”
Dhaka Tribune has tried several times to talk to the protesting doctors. But, none on their side made any remarks over the issue.
