Three activists of United People’s Democratic Front (UPDF) have been shot dead at Bhaibonchhara in Longgadu upazila.
The deceased are Anik Chakma, Sumon Chakma, and Sujoy Chakma.
UPDF spokesperson Mickel Chakma said: "The cadres of Jana Sanghati Samity (JSS) shot the three at a house in Golachhari area around 7:30am Sunday.
However, JSS spokesperson Sajib Chakma denied the allegation of their activists' involvement in the killing.
Rangamati Police Superintendent Sayeed Tariqul Hasan said police members were sent to the spot to recover the bodies.
