Two people have been killed in lightning struck at Gobindapur village of Keshabpur Upazila of the district.
The deceased are Hamid Fakir, 45 and his son Abu Huraira, 13.
Keshabpur police station Sub Inspector Nazrul said the duo died on the spot in lightning while working in a paddy field adjacent to their house around 12pm on Saturday.
Later, locals rushed them to Keshabpupur Upazila Health Complex where on duty doctor Bubly De declared them dead.
