Two students of a college have been run over by a truck in City Gate area of Chittagong.
Deceased Md Wahid, 21, and Md Shamim, 21, were first-year students of Mostafa Hakim Degree College.
Chittagong Medical College Hospital police outpost Nayek Jahangir Alam said Wahid and Shamim were run over by a truck around 10:15am Saturday.
"They were rushed to CMCH where on-duty doctor declared them dead," he said.
Protesting the death, students of the college blocked Dhaka-Chittagong highway in City Gate area.
Arefin Jewel, additional deputy commissioner of Chittagong Metropolitan Police, said they were trying to take the situation under control.
