A warm reception was accorded to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as she arrived at Heathrow International Airport in London yesterday afternoon on a six-day visit to the UK.
A VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the prime minister and her entourage, which left at 10am yesterday, landed at the Heathrow International Airport at 3:47pm local time, PM’s Press Secretary AKM Shameem Chowdhuri said.
At the airport, the prime minister was received by Bangladesh High Commissioner to the UK Md Abdul Hannan and senior officials of Bangladesh High Commission in London.
She will be accorded a reception in London on June 14 on behalf of expatriate Bangladeshis for her outstanding achievements in different fields, including the implementation of the much-awaited Land Boundary Agreement (LBA) with India.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to return home on the morning of June 18.
