A godown of jhut (garment scraps) has caught fire in Millgate area of Tongi in Gazipur.
Tongi Fire Service station officer Selim Mia said fire originated at the jhut godown of 'Kamal Enterprise' around 12 midnight on Monday.
Three units of fire fighters doused the flame after one-and-a-half-hour efforts.
It is being suspected that the fire was originated from electric short circuit.
None was reportedly injured in the incident.
