Two members of a family have died after inhaling toxic gas in a septic tank in Shinghopara area under Matiranga upazila of Khagrachhari.
The deceased are Mir Hossain and his sister-in-law Morium Begum.
Matiranga OC Nur Mohammad Bepari said: “Mir and his sister-in-law fell sick after inhaling toxic gas in a septic tank and they died on the way to upazila health complex."
Meanwhile, their neighbour Mokbul Ahmed also fell sick in the incident that occurred around 9:30am Thursday.
