The government has set new office hours for the month of Ramadan.
All government, semi-government and autonomous offices will remain open from 9am-3:30pm with 15 minutes break from 1:15pm-1:30pm.
The decision was taken at a regular cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday.
Cabinet Secretary M Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan briefed the reporters after the meeting at the secretariat.
He said banks, insurance companies, other financial institutions and emergency services will decide on their own timing.
