A student has committed suicide after failing to pass in the SSC examination 2015 in Natore.
The deceased is Sharmin Akter, 15, daughter of Anowar Hossein of Chondrokola village of Sadar upazila in the district, Mizanur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of Sadar police station, told the Dhaka Tribune.
Anowar said Sharmin went to her SI high school of Sadar upazila to get the result announced on Saturday.
After receiving her SSC result, she retreated to her room around 2:30pm, he added.
Later, locals rushed to the spot after hearing her mother’s shout and found her body hanged with ceiling.
Tazina Begum, the head master of the school expressed condolence on such incident and termed it as unexpected.
An abnormal death case was filed with the police station in this connection, he said.
