Seven persons have been killed after a boat capsized in Meghna river during a storm at Narsingdi sadar upazila.
The deceased are Bayezid Mia, 8, Umme Hani, 4, Sumaiya Aktar, 8, Foysal Mia, 6, Nuri Begum, 60, wife of late Sahaz Uddin, Falani Begum, wife of Rupu Mia, and Farzana Begum, wife of Shopon Mia.
The bodies have been handed over to their families.
Narsingdi sadar OC KM Abul Kashem said an engine-run boat, carrying 50 to 60 passengers capsized in the river due to a storm on Thursday afternoon.
Body of a child was recovered on Thursday while six went missing. The bodies of the six missing people were recovered on Friday morning.
