Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said her government is working in a bid to boost economic relations with neighbouring countries.
She was speaking at her reception hosted by the country's apex trade body FBCCI at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre on Thursday afternoon.
She said: “The government is working to expand trade and commerce and create more peaceful coexistence with neighbouring countries.”
In her speech, Sheikh Hasina said the Land Boundary Agreement (LBA) with India is a landmark.
She assured the business community of more incentives, saying that the government already offered many incentives for them.
In the programme, the prime minister said Bangladesh has produced more food than the country's demand.
She also called for working unitedly to achieve the national goal that is to become a developed nation by 2041.
