Agitated members of Bangladesh Ansar Bahini and Village Defence Party (VDP) held a demonstration at Kashipur area of Barisal city yesterday demanding their due wages.
They also cordoned off the district office of the force and brought out a procession.
The protesters said 100 people who were recruited by the Ansar and VDP on February 23, 2015 were not given their due salaries even after all these months of employment.
Bhuiyan Amzad Hossain, director of Ansar and VDP Barisal zone, said he had informed the authorities about the situation and hoped the crisis would be resolved soon.
