A Dhaka court yesterday asked the Criminal Investigation Department to submit by June 29 a report on further probe into the murder of Jubo League leader Riazul Haque Khan Milky.
Metropolitan Magistrate Md Mahbubur Rahman fixed the fresh date, as the investigation officer failed to submit the report before the court on the scheduled day.
The further probe was ordered on June 17 last year after Milky’s family submitted a no-confidence plea against the charge sheet.
RAB pressed the charges on April 15 last year against 12 Jubo League men. The prime accused was arrested by RAB, and was later killed in a gunfight with RAB.
Milky, an organising secretary of Jubo League Dhaka city (south) unit, was gunned down on July 30, 2013, in the capital’s Gulshan.
