“On Monday, the honourable prime minister said they do not want confrontation; they want peace. We welcome her such attitude. The BNP has always been against confrontational politics; it has favoured politics of compromise. We never allow bloodshed in politics”

BNP acting spokesperson Asaduzzaman Ripon made the statement on Tuesday.

“Yesterday, Hasina Ahmed met her husband Salahuddin at the Under Trial Prisoners cell in the civil hospital of Meghalaya. They discussed various legal processes for about half an hour”

BNP’s Assistant Office Secretary Abdul Latif Jony, who is also in Shillong now, told the Dhaka Tribune over phone.
