Police have recovered the body of an unidentified youth from the Deuliabari area of Gazipur district.
The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained immediately.
Konabari police outpost Sub-Inspector Mobarak Hossain said: “On information, police went to the spot and recovered the body from a paddy field at around 9am on Monday.”
“The youth did not have any injury marks on his body but a shawl was wrapped around his neck.”
The body was sent to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College morgue for autopsy, the official added.
