A person has been beaten to death during a clash over land dispute at Gormati village under Baraigram upazila in Natore.
The deceased is Abu Sayeed Sheikh, 45, son of Mohammad Ali Sheikh of Gormati village.
Boraigram OC Monirul Islam said: “Abu's elder brother Abdus Samad Sheikh had sold some pieces of land to Zoinal Abedin Sheikh of the village. There was a dispute between Samad and Zoinal over the registration fee of the land.”
Following the matter, Zoinal attacked Samad's house along with his supporters around 8:30am Sunday and beat his brother Abu to death.
Samad, his wife Regina, and son Mofizul were injured in the attack.
