At least three people have been killed and five others injured in separate incidents of lightning havoc in the district on Friday night.
The deceased are Molin Hossen, 25, of Lakhsipur village, Shinbad Mian, 22, of Andalbaria village, and Monir Mondal, 24, of Sreefaltala village under the Sadar upazila.
Magura Sadar police station OC Munshi Ashaduzzaman told the Dhaka Tribune: “Molin died around 9pm, Shinbad around 10pm while Monir around 10:30pm Friday. Besides, five people, who received serious injuries, were admitted to Magura Sadar Hospital.”
