The BSRM Group has recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the Char Livelihood Programmes (CLP) and other NGO partners for installing pure-water tube wells in the char islands in the north of Bangladesh.
These tube wells will ensure pure drinking water supply to some 1,000 households in these areas.
At BSRM’s head office in Chittagong on May 11, Alihussain Akberali, chairman of BSRM Group, signed in the MoU on behalf of his organisation.
Ruhi M Ahmed, head of CSR, PR and Communication of BSRM Group, Mat Pritchard, team leader of CLP, Rabeya Yasmin, director Partnerships, Policy and Governance of CLP, M Abdus Salam of Gana Unnayan Kendra (GUK), Md Alauddin Khan of National Development Programme (NDP), Habibulah Bahar of Manab Mukti Sangstha (MMS), Shyamal Chandra Sarker of Mahideb Jubo Soamj Kallayan Somity, Md Lutfor Rahman Mondal of Akota, Md Nazir Hossain of Gram Bikash Sangstha (GBS), BSRM’s Manging Director Aameir Alihussain and Finance Director Zohair Taherali were present at the ceremony.
