Bangla Tribune, one of the leading online news portals of the country, celebrated its first anniversary yesterday.
Guests arrived at an elaborate star-studded gala event in the capital’s Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, where a mobile app for the Bangla Tribune was also launched.
The guests included Information Minister Hasanul Huq Inu, DNCC Mayor Annisul Huq, DSCC Mayor Sayeed Khokon, Bangla Tribune Publisher Dr Kazi Anis Ahmed, Bangla Tribune Board of Directors member Kazi Inam Ahmed, the news portal’s Executive Editor Zulfiqer Russel and Dhaka Tribune Editor Zafar Sobhan.
Addressing the event, the information minister said the country was now moving forward by getting rid of its wasteful past.
Lawmaker Kazi Nabil Ahmed, also a member of the Bangla Tribune Board of Directors, congratulated the online news portal for being able to maintain its own identity and stand out from the many other news portals that exist in the country.
