The Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) will start handing over its flats to the allottees from December next year, Minister of Housing and Public Works Engineer Mosharraf Hossain said yesterday.
The minister made the statement while visiting Rajuk project area at Sector 18 in Uttara Residential Model Town Third phase in the capital.
Although satisfied over the progress of the construction work, Mosharraf asked high-ups of the Rajuk and the Public Works Department to quicken the work and complete it as soon as possible.
The minister further said those who had withdrawn their deposits earlier would be able to book flats again, adding that the government would accept fresh applications for allotment for the rest of the flats.
He said the government took up the project to construct 100,000 flats in Uttara, Purbachal and Jhilmil suburban areas in 2000.
