A single titled “Maa Chhara Prothom,” the first installment of 101 songs written and composed by architect and filmmaker, Enamul Karim Nirjhar, was released on May 10 through a radio show on ABC Radio FM89.2. The number was sung by newcomer Mahnaz Islam Moitree and the music was arranged by Rezaul Karim Limon. Released on Mother’s Day, the song was meant to pay homage to mothers all over the country. Apart from the single release, a music video of the song also went on air on Gaan Bangla. Nirjhar’s album “Ek Nirjharer Gaan,” consisting of as many as 101 contemporary Bangla tunes, is all set to release next month. The album features popular artists including Andrew Kishore, Subir Nandi, Nakib Khan, Fuad Naser Babu, Chandana Majumder, Fahmida Nabi, Samina Chowdhury, Arnob and Bappa Majumder along with other emerging artists. The album is produced by Gaanshala.
