A man has allegedly been killed by his nephew in Kalibari area of Mymensingh town.
Deceased Samir Dey was a jewelry maker in profession.
Police held nephew Akash and his friend Sani in this connection.
Kotwali model police station OC Abu Mohammad Fazlul Karim said Akash and Sani went to steal at Samir Dey's residence around 2am Saturday.
"When Samir obstructed them from stealing, Akash stabbed his uncle that left him dead on the spot," said the OC.
Being informed, police raided an abandoned house near Kalibari graveyard and detained Akash and Sani in possession with three knives and some silver jewelries.
The body was sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
