Behind the spotlight, Salman Khan appears to have a dark side. In his nearly three-decade-long career, Salman has mesmerised his fans by playing a wide range of roles. From romancing his heroines to fighting villains, the Khan has done it all. However in reality, Salman Khan is known as the “bad boy” of Bollywood.
In 1998, he allegedly killed two black bucks, an antelope species. About four years later, he drove over homeless pedestrians sleeping on a pavement in Mumbai. Salman was also accused of abusing his former girlfriend who herself is a famous actress. And quite recently, Salman was found guilty and sentenced to five years in prison. However, nothing could bring down his massive fan base.
Salman is widely called “Bhaijaan” among his friends, family and fans. Despite all the controversies, he is loved for the talented man he is and also because of his down-to-earth personality, which has inspired a film named “Being Bhaijaan.” Director, Shabani Hassanwalia, told the New York Times that his personality and attributes usually appeal to the men who feel left behind in India’s race towards development.
Fan or not, everyone is wondering what’s next for India’s biggest super star. He has currently been granted bail and his lawyers are trying to argue down the verdict.
