Four people have been killed and eight others injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a three-wheeler on the Dhaka-Barisal highway in the Uttarpar area under Maksudpur upazila in Gopalganj.
The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained immediately.
Maksudpur police outpost SI Abdus Salam said: “The accident took place when a poultry food-laden truck collided head-on with the three-wheeler on the Dhaka-Barisal highway around 6:30am Tuesday, leaving the four dead on the spot and others injured.”
The injured were admitted to Rajoi Upazila Health Complex, added the official.
