At least three people have been killed when a motor cycle was run over by a bus on Dhaka-Mawa highway at Samashpur area under Shreenagar upazila in the district.
The deceased are Omar Faruq, 24, Sifat, 22 and Simon, 24, all from Kobutorkhola village of Sreenagar upazila.
OC Mujibur Rahman of Shreenagar police said the three motor cycle riders were run over by a Madaripur bound bus on Sunday afternoon.
Locals rescued them and took them to Shologhor health complex by a CNG.
Later, Sifat and Simon were taken to Dhaka Medical college hospital where on duty doctor declared them dead.
Omar Faruq also died while being taken to Mitford hospital, the OC said.
