Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Saturday forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind at a few places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions, and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barisal divisions in the next 24 hours commencing at 9am.
Moderately heavy falls may also occur at isolated places during the period, the bulletin added.
"Mild heat wave is sweeping over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Sylhet and Khulna divisions and Dhaka, Narayanganj, Madaripur and Kishoreganj districts with possibilities to abate", predicted weatherman Dr Muhammad Abul Kalam Mallik.
During the period, day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Friday's maximum temperature was recorded at Dimla with 38.5°C while Saturday's minimum temperature 24.1°C was recorded at Bandarban.
In the capital, the sun will set at 6:47pm on Saturday and rise at 5:11am on Sunday.
