In the meeting of the Standing Committee on Disaster Management and Relief Ministry held in the National Parliament on Tuesday, the relevant authorities have been asked to take action according to this recommendation.

After the meeting, this was informed in the press release sent from the parliament secretariat.

The committee recommended that the ministry take appropriate measures to include the Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defense Department and Bangladesh Meteorological Department in the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, to bring transparency in natural disaster forecasting and overall cooperation on an urgent basis.

The committee recommended applying building codes for making rural roads under the Uni Block system, as well as eight-level earthquake-resistant infrastructure.

The committee recommends the ministry take initiatives to increase fish farming and supply clean water through food for work by digging and cleaning village ponds.
