Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will formally inaugurate distribution of Farmer Card from Tangail on April 14 next.
The card distribution program will be held at Shaheed Maruf Stadium on April 14.
Fisheries and Livestock State Minister Sultan Salauddin Tuku has said inauguration of the Farmer Card distribution program from Tangail is matter of pride and joy for the people of Tangail.
Talking with journalists after inspecting the venue on Friday afternoon Tuku said Farmer Card is a groundbreaking initiative for the development of farmers.
During the visit, Tuku reviewed the preparations and provided necessary instructions to the concerned officials to make the program successful.
Agriculture Secretary Rafiqul I Mohammad and concerned officials were present.
A preparatory meeting was held on Friday afternoon at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s office with Deputy Commissioner Sharifa Haque in the chair.
At the meeting, State Minister Sultan Salauddin Tuku instructed all concerned officials to perform their respective duties with utmost responsibility.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will personally hand over Farmer Cards to 15 farmers at the inauguration event.
