The deceased are Shamsul Haque, 35, son of Habibur Rahman, and Masuk Miah, 40, son of Shawnullah of Goznaipur union.
Nabiganj OC Abdul Baten said: “A large chunk of earth fell on them while they were cutting a hill in Shangkarsena area on Tuesday morning. They died on the spot.”
He said the bodies were recovered and sent to the local hospital morgue for autopsy.
