The deceased is Sainik (retd) Sabur Pramanik, 45, son of one Golzar Rahman Pramanik.
Quoting family members, Sadullapur police station Officer-in-Charge Imrul Kayes said: “Some unknown people called out Sabur from his home around 9.30pm Friday and he did not return home that night.
“Later, locals found his slaughtered body and informed the police.”
“The body has been sent to Gaibandha Modern Hospital for autopsy and a case will be filed in this connection,” the OC added.
