The deceased is Abdul Hamid, 40, of Chapainawabganj district. He was serving in the traffic division of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police, reports BSS.
“The truck knocked down Abdul’s motorcycle while he was returning home around 11:30pm on Friday. Doctors declared him dead went taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital," said Rajpara OC Aman Ullah.
He said the truck driver fled the scene immediately after the accident.
