Mild tremor shakes Dhaka, other areas

A mild tremor measuring 4.6 on the Richter Scale has been felt in the capital and other parts of the country on Wednesday noon. The earthquake was felt around 1:21pm, met office sources said. The epicenter was located near Sunamganj, some 156 kilometers from Dhaka, said Md Abul Kalam Mallik, meteorologist of Bangladesh Meteorological Department. However, there is no immediate report of any damage or casualty because of the tremor.
