20 Bangladeshis held while voyaging to Malaysia illegally

The illegal immigrants were detained at Kuala Sungai Bagan Tengkorak of Tanjong Karang on Wednesday, reports Malaysian newspaper Bernama. Port Klang Marine Police acting commanding officer, ASP Mohd Rohaizad Mohd Nasir said the boat which was ferrying the illegal immigrants was seized around 2:25pm (Malaysian time) under 'Op Landai'. “Initial investigations revealed that a pom pom boat from Indonesia, KM PUTRA KUALO, was ferrying 20 Bangladeshi men, aged between 20 and 42," he said in a statement.
