Update : 21 Sep 2016, 10:10 PM
Telenor Group has announced two people as winners at its youth forum held in Dhaka on Wednesday. Rafsan Sabab Khan and Ramim Ahmed, both students of IBA, University of Dhaka, emerged as winners from Bangladesh at the grand finale of Telenor's Youth Forum 2016. Seven candidates, selected through a filtering process, presented their ideas to a judging panel at the event held a local hotel in the capital. Annisul Huq, mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation, was the Chief Guest at the program while Hossain Sadat, acting chief corporate affairs officer of Grameenphone, was also present on the occasion. The theme of this year's Telenor Youth Forum (TYF) was “Digitisation for Peace.” Telenor will now select the Bangladeshi representative from the two form a three-day conference that will start in Oslo, Norway, in December. The forum, in partnership with the Nobel Peace Centre, offers an opportunity for young people, aged 18-28, from 13 countries to present impactful ideas that can alter lives. The Bangladesh representative selected by Telenor along with winners from different regions of the world will attend the conference in Norway, where they will explore the transformative power of mobile and digital communication. They will also get the opportunity to attend the Nobel Peace Prize giving ceremony. Grameenphone launched the TYF 2016 in Bangladesh in July through a press conference.
