Over 100 injured as villagers clash in Habiganj

Of the injured, 14 were taken to Sylhet Sadar Hospital and 30 more to Habiganj sadar Hospital. OC Amulya Kumar Chowdhury confirmed the incident and said the clash erupted following a scuffle between one Saidur Rahman, son of Abdur Rashid, and Liton Mia, son of Atabur Miah over a mobile phone theft. At one point, people from both sides engaged in armed conflict with locally made weapons. Police managed to control the situation with the help of other locals. Additional police have been deployed in the area.
