Prime Minister Tarique Rahman visited an Army officer, who was seriously injured in an accident during a field firing exercise in Hathazari of Chittagong, at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka on Friday.
The prime minister went to the CMH around noon and inquired after the physical condition of the injured officer, who is undergoing treatment there.
He wished the officer a speedy and full recovery and directed the authorities concerned to ensure necessary treatment for him.
Tarique Rahman also spoke to the injured officer and his family members, and offered them courage and consolation, creating an emotional atmosphere.
The accident occurred on Wednesday while firing from a tank during a Bangladesh Army field firing exercise in Hathazari, leaving two Army personnel dead and an officer seriously injured.
The injured officer was airlifted to the CMH in Dhaka for advanced treatment.
The Prime Minister expressed deep grief over the deaths of the two Army personnel and conveyed his condolences to their families.
