Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Saturday expressed optimism that Bangladesh's economy could undergo a positive transformation within the next 4-5 years if the government and the private sector work together to address existing challenges.

Speaking at an interactive session with private sector entrepreneurs, the prime minister said: "There are problems in some areas, but if we work together, we can overcome them."

The nearly 4-hour meeting began around 10am at the Prime Minister's Office in Tejgaon. It was organized by the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), according to Deputy Press Secretary Hasan Shiplu.

According to Shiplu, the discussions focused on business expansion, attracting greater foreign investment and creating a more conducive environment for industrialization.
