Teachers, staff, and members of Milestone School and College gathered at its Diabari campus in Uttara on Tuesday to mark the first anniversary of last year's jet crash with prayers and tributes for the victims.
The institution organized a special prayer and doa mahfil for the students, teachers, parents, and employees who lost their lives in the tragedy.
Floral tributes were placed in memory of the victims as teachers and employees from both the school and college sections joined the commemorative program.
Participants observed the day in remembrance of their classmates, colleagues, and loved ones, reflecting on the tragedy that continues to affect the institution.
The jet crash at Milestone School and College in Uttara claimed 34 lives, according to the institution. a
However, at least 36 people, including 28 students, were killed when an FT-7 BGI fighter jet crashed into the campus on July 21 last year, according to official reports.
On November 5, 2025, a probe committee formed after the crash submitted its report to the then chief adviser of the interim government, Professor Muhammad Yunus.
