Rear Admiral Khondkar Misbah ul Azim has been appointed as the next chief of the Bangladesh Navy.
He will be promoted to the rank of vice admiral on July 23, 2026, and will assume charge as the chief of the Bangladesh Navy on the same day, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
