Six-time elected former Member of Parliament (MP) Moslem Uddin passed away at a private hospital in the capital on Saturday morning. He was 87.
Moslem Uddin had a long and distinguished career in both politics and the legal profession. He served as the former president of the Fulbaria Upazila Awami League in Mymensingh, a former mem of the Constituent Assembly (MNA), and a former president of the Mymensingh District Bar Association.
He is survived by his wife, three sons, two daughters, and numerous relatives and admirers.
Throughout his life, he played a significant role in the development of his area, contributing to the establishment of educational institutions and the improvement of roads and infrastructure.
His namaz-e-janaza will be held in three phases on Sunday. The first janaza will take place at 10:00 am on the Mymensingh District Bar Association premises, the second at 3:00 pm at Fulbaria Government High School ground, and the third at 5:00 pm at the Moslem Uddin Orphanage ground.
