A total of 25,396 Hajj pilgrims from Bangladesh have arrived in Saudi Arabia as of Thursday, for this year’s Hajj.
During the same period, two Bangladeshi pilgrims have died there.
The information was disclosed in the Hajj bulletin of the Bangladesh Haj Management Portal.
According to the bulletin, of the pilgrims who have reached Saudi Arabia, 2,870 travelled under government management, while 22,526 went through private arrangements. A total of 63 flights have been operated so far.
Of these, Biman Bangladesh Airlines operated 24 flights, Saudia operated 23, and Flynas operated 16 flights. A total of 9,951 pilgrims travelled via Biman Bangladesh Airlines, 8,580 via Saudia, and 6,865 via Flynas.
The bulletin also said that one pilgrim died in Mecca on Wednesday, bringing the total number of Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrim deaths in Saudi Arabia this year to two.
