National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener and Opposition Chief Whip Nahid Islam has left Dhaka with his wife to perform Umrah.
He departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on a Saudi Airlines flight at 3:19am on Sunday.
The party confirmed the matter to the media on Monday.
According to party sources, Nahid Islam is expected to return to the country on April 4, subject to schedule.
