If everything remains in order, he will leave Dhaka by air ambulance at any time on Friday (March 13), BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan said.
A little before 10pm on Thursday, Shairul Kabir visited Mirza Abbas at Evercare Hospital in the capital.
During the visit, he inquired about Abbas’s physical condition and ongoing treatment from his wife, who was staying at the hospital. He later spent some time beside Abbas’s bed and offered prayers seeking his recovery.
Besides Shairul Kabir, BNP Secretary General and Local Government Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Social Welfare Minister Dr AZM Zahid Hossain, and Jamaat Ameer and Leader of the Opposition Dr Shafiqur Rahman also went to the hospital to see him.
Mirza Abbas suddenly fell ill during iftar on March Wednesday. He was admitted to Evercare Hospital later that night.
