Three students of Dhaka University have been suspended for six months in connection with the harassment of two men and two women in the TSC area in the early hours of February 24.
The action was taken on the recommendations of an investigation committee formed to look into the incident.
The university's public relations office confirmed the suspensions through a statement issued on Tuesday.
The students were suspended by University Proctor Professor Saifuddin Ahmed, exercising the authority granted to him under the Dhaka University Order.
The suspended students are Shahriar Islam Tushar from the Department of Theatre and Performance Studies, Rakib Ahmed from the Department of World Religions and Culture, and Shahriar Tanzil from the Department of Anthropology.
