Inqilab Mancha on Monday issued another 24-hour ultimatum with three demands and announced that it will hold a “Shohidi Shopoth” (Martyrs’ Pledge) at Shahbagh on Tuesday at pm.
The announcement was made around 4pm at the Central Shaheed Minar by the organization’s Member Secretary, Abdullah Al Jaber, after he led a protest march from the National Museum in Shahbagh.
“On behalf of Inqilab Mancha, we are declaring a Martyrs’ Pledge tomorrow,” Abdullah Al Jaber said.
“Tomorrow at 3pm, we will gather at Shaheed Hadi Square in Shahbagh. In honor of those who were martyred through enforced disappearances and killings both before and after July, we will lead the people of Bangladesh in taking the Martyrs’ Pledge, with Shaheed Osman Hadi at the forefront,” he added.
The three demands include involving international intelligence agencies such as the FBI and Scotland Yard in investigations through a speedy judicial tribunal; identifying and prosecuting Awami collaborators allegedly hiding within civil and military intelligence; and requiring the home adviser, his Special Assistant Khoda Boksh Chowdhury, and the law adviser to provide an explanation and then resign.
